Does ezCater charge a delivery fee or service fee?

Each restaurant sets its own delivery fee, and it shows before you check out. ezCater says you pay only food and beverage costs, taxes, and that delivery fee, with no service fees, platform fees, or menu markups. Delivery fees typically run about 7 to 15 percent of the order, and some restaurants waive them.

How do I change or cancel an ezCater order?

You can modify or cancel online up to 24 hours before scheduled delivery. Go to Orders, then Scheduled, to find the cancel button, which only appears outside that window. After that, sign in and use Live Chat or call 1-800-488-1803, and changes need the caterer's permission.

Where do I enter a promo code on ezCater?

Build your order, then open the checkout cart. You'll see fields for Promotions and Rewards points, so enter the code and select Apply. Codes from an email or text link may apply automatically, and they must meet the offer's requirements before you can submit.

Can I combine more than one promo code?

ezCater's help pages don't publish a rule on stacking promo codes, so check the terms of each offer. Rewards points go in their own checkout field, separate from the Promotions field.

Can I turn Rewards points into an Amazon gift card?

Yes. Once you have 2,500 points, open the Rewards tab and convert points to an Amazon gift card, starting at $25. You need a fulfilled order within the last 12 months to redeem.

How does the ezCater referral program work?

Your friend gets $25 off their first order after creating an account through your link. To refer anyone, you must have placed at least one order of $100 or more. You earn points on their spending for one year or until you reach 25,000 points ($250) from that friend, and the friend must click your link or neither of you gets the benefit.

Is there a minimum order on ezCater?

Add Rewards after the fact:
If you forgot to apply points, you don't have to start over. Open Orders, choose Edit next to the order, scroll to Rewards points in the cart, enter an amount up to your balance, then select Apply and Submit your changes.

Know how a promo changes your points:
Points are calculated on the final food and beverage subtotal after discounts. A $25 promo on a $200 order earns points on $175, so a discount trims the points slightly. The promo is usually still worth more than the points it costs you.

Read the restaurant's cancellation terms before submitting:
ezCater charges no cancellation fee, but restaurants can charge one for last-minute cancellations. The policy usually sits at the bottom of the restaurant's menu page, though not every restaurant lists one, and some require more than 24 hours of notice.

Start every order on ezcater.com or the app:
Rewards only count on orders that begin at ezcater.com or in the ezCater app. Orders started on a restaurant's own website or through an ezCater powered partner site, and Meal Program orders, earn nothing.

Check whether your employer turned Rewards off:
Some employers opt out of the program. Since April 13, 2026, anyone placing orders can earn and redeem points, not just admins, as long as the employer allows it.

You can filter by Gluten-Free, Healthy, Kosher, Plant-Based, and Vegetarian. For allergies, add special instructions to the order as well.

Check reviews and on-time ratings:
Restaurant pages show reviews and on-time delivery ratings. Compare them before you commit to a large order, especially for a fixed lunch hour.

Compare delivery fee and minimum together:
Both are set per restaurant and shown on the menu page. A lower minimum can come with a higher delivery fee, so check both against your headcount and budget.
