Frequently Asked Questions
Does Paramount+ refund unused time if I cancel mid-cycle?
No. Per Paramount's own Terms of Use, canceling or deleting your account doesn't entitle you to a refund for the remaining billing period, you keep access until that period ends, but the charge itself isn't returned.
What if I subscribed through an app store instead of directly?
You'd need to request a refund from that app store (Apple, Google Play, Amazon) under their own policies, not from Paramount directly, since Paramount states it can't issue that refund itself for app-store subscriptions.
Is Premium actually ad-free, or does that only apply sometimes?
Only on-demand content is ad-free on Premium. Live TV, including a local CBS feed and live sports, still carries ads on both plans, so "ad-free" here specifically means the on-demand library, not the whole service.
Where do I enter a Paramount+ promo code?
During signup or in Account > Subscription & Billing before payment. Student and teacher discounts apply through a separate verification step rather than a typed code.
Can I combine the student discount with the Walmart+ bundle?
No. These are separate paths to a discounted or included Paramount+ subscription, you'd choose whichever one applies to your situation rather than stacking both on the same account.
Why did I get charged again a day before I thought my subscription ended?
Paramount bills based on your exact renewal date and time, not a rounded date, so a cancellation submitted even one day early can still land after that cycle's charge has already processed. Canceling well before your renewal date, not on it, avoids this.
Does the student or teacher discount ever expire?
It requires ongoing verification tied to your enrollment or employment status, so it's not a one-time signup discount, if your eligibility lapses, the discount is likely to lapse with it at your next verification check.
