Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to verify my age to order?

Yes, you must be at least 21 years old to purchase anything from Hometown Hero, including CBD, Delta-8, and Delta-9 products. The company uses an age-verification system called Plaid, and a small number of customers may need to submit their date of birth or a photo ID to complete checkout, particularly if billing and shipping details differ or you've recently changed your name or address.

What if a product doesn't meet my expectations?

Hometown Hero offers a Worry-Free Guarantee. Simply contact customer service and send the product back, and you'll be reimbursed with a gift card to try something else, rather than a cash refund to your original payment method.

Does Hometown Hero ship to every state?

No, hemp and its derived cannabinoids are legal on a federal level and in most states, but Hometown Hero does not ship to California, Colorado, Idaho, Washington, or Oregon.

Is there a minimum order for free shipping?

No, Hometown Hero offers free standard shipping on all US orders with no minimum spend required, and shipments are packed discreetly.

Is there a discount for signing up for the newsletter?

Yes, subscribing to the newsletter typically gets you around $10 off your next order, and continuing to stay subscribed keeps you informed of ongoing product sales and seasonal promotions.

Does Hometown Hero have a rewards or subscription program?

Yes, creating an account lets you earn points on purchases redeemable for discounts, and enrolling in a subscription for regular reordering can save around 15 percent compared to one-time purchases.

Can promo codes be used for wholesale or bulk orders?

No, promo codes are generally excluded on wholesale orders, bulk purchases, and clearance items, so those categories typically run on separate pricing structures rather than standard sitewide codes.

Saving Guide

Set up your account details accurately before checking out:

Since the Plaid verification system can sometimes require extra ID steps if your billing and shipping information don't match or you've had a recent name change, getting those details consistent upfront can help your order process smoothly the first time.

Sign up for the newsletter before your first order:

The roughly $10 discount for new subscribers is one of the more reliable savings available, and remaining subscribed afterward keeps you aware of ongoing sales.

Consider a subscription if you're a regular customer:

Since enrolling in automatic reordering can save around 15 percent compared to one-time purchases, and that can sometimes be combined with seasonal promotions, a product you reorder often is worth moving to a subscription rather than repurchasing manually each time.

Use the Worry-Free Guarantee rather than writing off a product:

Because a product that doesn't meet expectations can be exchanged for a gift card rather than simply discarded, reaching out to customer service protects the value of a purchase that didn't turn out to be the right fit.

Confirm your state allows delivery before ordering:

Since Hometown Hero doesn't ship to California, Colorado, Idaho, Washington, or Oregon regardless of what discount you're using, checking that upfront avoids wasting time on an order that can't be fulfilled.

Checklist before you check out:

Confirm your state isn't on the shipping exclusion list, keep your billing and shipping details consistent to ease age verification, sign up for the newsletter if this is your first order, and consider a subscription if you're planning to reorder the same product regularly.
