Frequently Asked Questions
Does JanSport offer a discount for students and teachers?
Yes. JanSport runs a 15% off promo code for verified students and teachers through SheerID, and it can be reused once every 30 days as long as you re-verify each time. The code typically excludes clearance items and gift cards.
Why isn't my JanSport promo code applying at checkout?
Most JanSport codes are limited to one per order and won't stack with other promotions, so the system usually keeps whichever code was entered last. Codes also tend to exclude Final Clearance items, so check your cart for anything marked down that far before assuming the code is broken.
Can I get money back if a JanSport item I bought goes on sale?
Yes, within a 14-day window. If the same item drops in price on JanSport.com, contacting customer service with your receipt gets you the difference refunded, up to two adjustments per customer per month. The guarantee doesn't cover promotional pricing like sitewide sales or BOGO deals.
What is JanSport's return policy?
Items can be returned within 30 days of purchase as long as they haven't been used, washed, or altered, and JanSport ships every order with a prepaid FedEx return label so the shipping cost is covered. Final Clearance items are not eligible for return.
Does JanSport charge for shipping?
Standard shipping runs a flat $5 fee on orders of $49.99 or under, and it's free above that threshold. Combining a coupon code with a purchase that clears the $50 mark is the easiest way to avoid the shipping charge entirely.
How do JanSport Pack Points work?
Members earn points on purchases, plus 50 points just for joining, 25 for writing a product review, 100 on their birthday, and 5 for social activity. Every 100 points converts into a $10 discount on a future online order, so it rewards repeat shoppers more than one-time buyers.
Is there a military discount at JanSport?
Yes, verified Military personnel get 15% off through SheerID verification, similar to the student and teacher program. The code generally excludes sale, clearance, and gift card purchases, and there can be a short delay between verifying and receiving the code by email.
How often does JanSport release new coupon codes?
JanSport runs sitewide promotions fairly often, with deeper markdowns appearing during back to school season and around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, sometimes reaching 40% off. Outside of those peaks, a 15% welcome code for new email subscribers is usually available.
