Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a Lulus promo code on sale items?

It depends on the specific code. Some Lulus discount codes are restricted to full priced merchandise, while sitewide promotional codes sometimes apply across both regular and sale pricing. The cart will show whether a code was accepted, so it's worth trying before assuming it won't work on marked down pieces.

Why is my Lulus coupon code not applying at checkout?

Lulus only allows one promo code per order, so a second code will typically get rejected rather than stack with the first. It's also common for a code to be restricted to certain categories, like dresses or a specific collection, rather than the full site.

Does Lulus charge for returns?

If you want your refund back to the original payment method, a return shipping fee is deducted from what you get back. Choosing store credit instead of a cash refund waives that fee, which makes credit the cheaper option if you're planning to shop with Lulus again anyway.

How long do I have to return something to Lulus?

Returns need to be sent back within about three weeks of delivery, and the item has to be unworn, unwashed, and still have its tags and security ribbon attached. Missing the window or removing the ribbon before you're sure you're keeping the item is the most common reason a return gets denied.

Are final sale items at Lulus returnable?

No. Final sale is exactly that at Lulus, and there's no return, exchange, or store credit path for those items regardless of condition. Check the product page carefully before buying anything marked final sale, especially during clearance events.

Does Lulus offer a student discount?

Yes, verified students can get a discount through Student Beans, and the same verification path is generally open to military members and healthcare workers as well. It's a one time use code applied per order rather than a permanent account level discount.

Is Lulus shipping actually free?

Standard shipping is free once an order crosses a set dollar minimum, and shoppers using the Lulus app sometimes get free shipping without needing to hit that threshold at all. Below the minimum on the website, a flat shipping fee applies.

What do I get for signing up for the Lulus newsletter?

New subscribers typically get a percentage off their first order just for signing up for email or text alerts, on top of getting early access to newsletter only sales. It's usually the easiest discount to claim if you haven't shopped with Lulus before.

Can I combine a Lulus coupon with the Love Rewards loyalty program?

Love Rewards points are earned separately from coupon codes, so using a promo code at checkout doesn't stop you from also earning points on that same purchase. The rewards program has multiple tiers, and higher tiers unlock better perks the more you shop.

Saving Guide

Why Lulus is worth a real savings strategy, not just a random code Lulus turns over inventory quickly and runs frequent flash sales, so the best discount changes week to week rather than sitting at one fixed rate, which rewards shoppers who check back before finalizing a cart.

Stacking a coupon with sale pricing Because Lulus limits orders to one promo code, the better move on a sale item is checking whether a sitewide code is valid on discounted merchandise before trying to force a second code through. If the code is restricted to full price, it often makes more sense on a piece that isn't already marked down.

Working around the return shipping fee Choosing store credit over a refund to your card waives the return shipping deduction entirely. For anyone who shops Lulus more than once a year, that alone can offset the cost of a future order's shipping.

Timing purchases around the newsletter discount Since the first order discount is tied to signing up rather than a specific date, it's available whenever you're ready to buy, which makes it worth claiming before placing a first order rather than after.

Using free shipping thresholds deliberately If a cart sits just under the free shipping minimum, adding a lower cost accessory or a pair of earrings can push the order over the line for less than the shipping fee would have cost outright.

Watching for the final sale label before adding to cart Final sale pricing at Lulus is aggressive, but it comes with zero return flexibility, so it's worth being confident on sizing (checking the reviews with real customer photos helps here) before committing to anything in that section.

Getting the most from Love Rewards over time Because points accumulate independently of coupon use, someone who shops Lulus regularly benefits from stacking every coupon they can now while still building toward the next loyalty tier for future perks.

Checklist before you check out Confirm your code applies to the items in your cart, decide upfront whether you'd rather have cash back or the fee free store credit option, check if you're near the free shipping minimum, and double check tags and packaging expectations on anything you might return.
