Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be present to receive a SaloonBox delivery?
Yes, because the box includes alcohol, someone 21 or older needs to be available to sign for the package, so using a shipping address where that's realistic, rather than one where packages sit unattended, matters more here than with a typical subscription box.
Does SaloonBox ship to every state?
No, alcohol shipping laws mean SaloonBox is unable to ship to certain states, so checking current availability for your specific address before subscribing is a necessary step rather than an optional one.
What's actually included in a typical box?
A box generally includes the spirits and other ingredients for two different cocktail recipes, enough for four total drinks, along with background on the recipes and the mixologists who created them. Garnishes like fresh fruit are typically not included, so having those on hand yourself completes the experience.
Can I combine a coupon code with a themed or holiday box?
Special edition boxes, like a Mother's Day or holiday-themed release, are sometimes already bundled at their own price point, so it's worth checking whether your coupon code applies to that specific box rather than assuming it works the same as the regular monthly subscription.
How much does a typical box cost with shipping included?
Pricing generally runs a bit over $37 for the box itself, with a separate shipping charge added on top given the extra handling required for alcohol shipments, so factoring in that combined total before comparing it to buying full bottles yourself gives a more accurate cost picture.
Is this a good gift option for someone who doesn't drink often?
Since each box introduces new spirits and recipes without requiring a full bottle purchase, it can be a lower-commitment way for a casual cocktail drinker to try something new, though checking their state's shipping eligibility ahead of gifting is worth confirming first.
