Yes, finding and comparing pros on Thumbtack is free. You pay the pro you hire for the work itself, at the price the two of you agree on.
Can I cancel Thumbtack Plus, and does it renew automatically?
It renews automatically for the same length of term unless you turn off auto-renew at least five business days before the renewal date. You can cancel any time, but the subscription fee is nonrefundable. Plus is for consumer households only, so businesses, property managers and landlords do not qualify.
Is there a Thumbtack promo code?
Thumbtack's own site and help center do not list a sitewide promo code. Pros set their own prices, so the most reliable way to pay less is to compare several quotes.
Where do I enter a Thumbtack code at checkout?
Requesting quotes involves no payment, so there is no checkout step at that stage. Payment through Thumbtack happens when you book a service, and that is where a code would go if Thumbtack ever issues one with its own instructions.
Can I combine more than one Thumbtack offer?
There are no verified sitewide codes to stack. Thumbtack Plus is a membership, and each pro sets the price for the job. If you receive a specific offer, its terms will say whether it can be combined.
What does the Thumbtack Guarantee cover?
The Property Damage Guarantee covers direct physical loss or damage up to $100,000, but not faulty installation or incomplete work. To qualify, you must hire the pro through Thumbtack within 30 days of your request and report the issue in time: 14 days for property damage and 45 days for money-back claims.
Is there a fee to cancel a Thumbtack booking?
Canceling an On-Demand booking more than 24 hours before the start time costs nothing. Cancel later, or no-show, and you pay a nonrefundable $15 fee but are not charged for the booking itself. If the pro cancels less than 48 hours before the start, the booking is canceled and you are not charged.
