Frequently Asked Questions
Does WPS Office have a free version?
Yes. The free tier includes core document, spreadsheet, and presentation tools, along with basic PDF handling. Premium adds extras like ad removal, cloud storage, advanced PDF conversion, and AI writing tools on top of that base
Is there a free trial for WPS Premium?
Yes, WPS regularly runs trial promotions, commonly a 7 day trial, sometimes extended to 30 days for users who sign in through the Windows app during a promotional event. Trial length can vary by region and campaign, so it is worth checking the exact offer at signup.
What is WPS Office's refund policy on subscriptions?
Subscriptions and auto renewal charges are treated as non refundable once the billing period begins, since the software is delivered instantly as a virtual product. The one exception is a one time activation code or perpetual license, which can be refunded in full if the request comes within 30 days of purchase and before 30 days have passed since the license was bought.
Why might I get charged even though I thought I was still in a free trial?
WPS requires cancellation at least 5 days before the trial or current billing period ends to avoid an automatic charge. Missing that window results in a normal renewal charge, since the subscription is designed to convert automatically unless canceled ahead of time.
How do I cancel a WPS Office subscription before it renews?
Sign in to the WPS account subscription page and turn off Auto Renewal from there. If that option is not accessible, contacting officesupport@wps.com with the order number and user ID gets support to cancel the renewal directly.
Does a WPS discount code work on both personal and team plans?
It depends on the code. WPS Pro for Teams is priced and licensed separately from the individual Premium plan, so a coupon meant for personal subscriptions will not necessarily apply to a multi seat team purchase.
Does WPS Office offer a discount for paying annually instead of monthly?
Yes, annual billing is typically discounted compared to paying month to month, with savings that can reach into the double digits depending on the plan tier selected at checkout.
Why might a WPS promo code fail to apply at checkout?
The most common reasons are a code tied to a specific plan tier, region, or device platform that does not match what is in the cart, or a code that has already expired. Confirming which plan and platform the code was advertised for before entering it avoids most checkout errors.
