Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to verify my age before ordering from Gotham Cigars?
Yes, every order requires age verification confirming you are 21 or older, handled instantly at checkout through a third party verification service. If your billing information does not match automatically, you may need to upload a photo ID, and the data is used only for that confirmation.
Can I stack a Gotham Cigars promo code with the Subscribe and Save discount?
Subscribe and Save already knocks 5 percent off hundreds of items on a recurring delivery schedule, and Gotham Cigars limits orders to one promo code at checkout, so you generally cannot layer a separate percentage off code on top of that automatic discount. Compare which option saves more on your specific order before choosing.
Why did my Gotham Cigars coupon code not apply?
Gotham Cigars allows only one promo code per order and per customer, so if you are trying to combine two codes, the system will only honor one. Codes can also carry minimum purchase requirements or be restricted to specific brands, so double check the fine print if a code fails.
How long do I have to cancel or change a Gotham Cigars order?
You need to contact customer service within 1 to 2 hours of placing your order to cancel or make changes, and orders placed over the weekend must be addressed by Monday morning. Once an order enters shipping, Gotham Cigars cannot modify or cancel it.
What is Gotham Cigars' return policy if an item arrives damaged?
Damaged items need to be reported within 72 hours of delivery to qualify for a prepaid return label, while general return requests have a 30 business day window with a Return Authorization Number required from customer service. Defective items can be replaced or exchanged for store credit depending on the issue.
Does Gotham Cigars offer a discount for military members?
Yes, active duty military, veterans, and first responders get 10 percent off through a quick identity verification process that takes about a minute and generates a discount code valid for 24 hours. You can re-verify anytime you want a fresh code for a new order.
Are there restrictions on where Gotham Cigars ships?
Gotham Cigars ships within the continental US but excludes Utah and Hawaii entirely, and Alaska orders carry additional shipping charges. First time orders over $250 are also restricted as a fraud prevention measure, so a large first purchase may need to be split or verified further.
Does Gotham Cigars run clearance sales worth checking before using a code?
The clearance, overstock, and closeout sections regularly carry discounts of 20 percent or more, with the steepest markdowns typically on discontinued blends being phased out. It is worth checking these sections before applying a sitewide code, since some promo codes exclude already discounted clearance inventory.
