Frequently Asked Questions
Does Huk offer a military discount?
Yes, along with first responder, medical and teacher discounts, all set at 15% and verified through GovX. Once your eligibility is confirmed you receive a promo code for single use redemption, and it cannot be combined with other offers, discounts or coupons. If you later return part of the order, you are refunded the price you actually paid rather than full retail.
What is the free shipping threshold at Huk?
Free ground shipping applies to US orders of $150 or more. Captain's Club membership improves on that as your tier rises, which is the main reason to enroll before placing a mid sized order rather than after.
Can I stack a Huk code with a sale price?
Only one code applies per order, and the verified service discounts specifically exclude combining with other promotions. Seasonal events are usually run as marked down pricing rather than codes, so during a sale the question becomes which single path gives the lower total, not how to layer them.
How does the Captain's Club work?
Joining is free and earns 250 points immediately, then 5 points for every dollar spent at hukgear.com or an official Huk company store. Points accumulate toward tier status rather than being redeemed directly, and benefits improve at each level.
Do Captain's Club points expire?
They expire 12 months after the date you enrolled, and your tier is recalculated based on spend every 12 months. There is also a 15 day delay before purchase points are verified and before a tier upgrade is reflected, so a big order placed the week before your anniversary may not count the way you expect.
Does a Huk purchase from another retailer earn points?
No. Captain's Club credit only applies to purchases made on hukgear.com or at an official Huk company store, and you need to give your account email at checkout for in store purchases to register. Buying the same jacket from a tackle shop or a big box outdoor retailer earns nothing toward your tier.
What does not count toward my Captain's Club status?
Purchases paid for with gift cards or store credit are excluded from tier calculations. Referrals are the exception that works in your favor: when someone uses your link, they get $20 off their first order and points post to your account once the order clears.
How long do I have to return Huk gear?
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date on items bought from the website and shipped within the US, and returns are free. Items must be unworn with tags attached, and footwear needs its original box in new condition. Purchases made outside the US are not currently accepted for return.
Which Huk items cannot be returned?
Final sale items are excluded, and so are undergarments and gaiters, which are treated as final sale for hygiene reasons regardless of price. Shipping cost is not refunded unless the item turns out to be defective or damaged.
How quickly can I cancel a Huk order?
The cancellation window is very short, roughly an hour after you place the order, and requires contacting customer service by phone, email or chat. Checking your size and shipping address before confirming is worth more than the speed of your follow up.
