Frequently Asked Questions
Does Vail Valley Anglers offer free shipping?
Free standard shipping applies to orders over a set threshold to the US mainland, with a flat shipping charge on orders below that amount. Orders shipped to Alaska or Hawaii over $200 also qualify for free economy shipping, and all APO and FPO addresses ship free regardless of order size.
Can I use a promo code on a guided fishing trip?
Some promo codes are written specifically for gear and are excluded from guided trips and sale items, so it depends on the individual offer. Check the terms attached to a code before assuming it will apply at trip checkout.
What is Vail Valley Anglers' return policy?
Purchases can be returned for a full refund, exchange, or store credit within 30 days, as long as the item is unused and in its original condition. Used items, underwear, and swimwear are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
Are sale items returnable?
No. Items purchased on sale, whether in store or online, are excluded from the standard return policy and are considered final sale.
Does Vail Valley Anglers offer a military discount?
Yes, active duty, retired military, and veterans receive 15% off regularly priced items as an ongoing discount. This discount applies to full price merchandise and is generally not combined with other promo codes.
How fast does Vail Valley Anglers ship orders?
Orders placed before 1pm Mountain Time typically ship the same day. Orders placed after that cutoff, or over a weekend or holiday, go out the next business day.
How should I package a return?
Items being returned or exchanged should go back in the original box or packaging the product arrived in. If that packaging is not available, using a box of similar size and sturdiness helps the item survive the trip back.
Does Vail Valley Anglers have a rewards program?
Yes, customers can earn points through a rewards program that includes options like referring friends, with points redeemable for rewards. Points and rewards do not expire.
Can I stack a promo code with the military discount?
Generally no. The military discount and most sitewide promo codes are not meant to be combined, so it is worth comparing which one offers a bigger savings on a given order rather than trying to apply both.
Does Vail Valley Anglers ship internationally?
Yes, international shipping is available, though delivery times and any related customs charges will vary by destination and are worth confirming before ordering.
