Frequently Asked Questions
Does Laithwaites ship wine to every US state?
No. State alcohol laws prohibit wine shipments to several states, including Arkansas, Delaware, Mississippi, Rhode Island, and Utah. Availability at checkout will reflect the address entered.
What does Laithwaites' 100% satisfaction guarantee actually cover?
If a bottle doesn't taste right for any reason, Laithwaites will arrange a replacement or a refund rather than asking for a detailed explanation. It's meant to take the risk out of trying an unfamiliar wine.
Do I need to be home to sign for a Laithwaites delivery?
Yes. Wine shipments require an adult age 21 or older to sign for the package, which is standard across the industry and not unique to Laithwaites.
How does the Laithwaites Wine Club work?
Members choose a red, white, or mixed case and receive new selections on a recurring schedule, usually quarterly. The first case comes at a steep introductory discount, with regular pricing applying afterward.
Can I cancel or skip a Laithwaites Wine Club shipment?
Yes, memberships can be paused, skipped, or canceled online or by phone before the next case ships, so there's no obligation to keep every scheduled delivery.
Is Laithwaites' Unlimited membership worth paying for?
It's a paid annual membership that includes free standard shipping on orders, which can offset its cost fairly quickly for anyone ordering wine more than a couple of times a year.
Does Laithwaites offer a discount on a first order?
Yes, new wine club members typically see the steepest discount available anywhere on the site, often well over half off the introductory case.
Can I use a Laithwaites coupon code on top of the wine club intro price?
Generally no. The introductory case pricing is already a standalone promotional rate, so a separate sitewide code usually won't apply to it at checkout.
