Frequently Asked Questions
Does NARS offer a points based loyalty program?
NARS does not run its own points based rewards program on its US site. Shoppers who want ongoing points can earn them through Sephora's Beauty Insider or Ulta's Ultamate Rewards when buying NARS products through those retailers instead.
Can a NARS promo code be combined with a gift with purchase offer?
Gift with purchase thresholds usually apply automatically once a cart reaches the required spend, and NARS limits most other promotions to one code per client or per order. Pairing a percentage off code with a spend threshold gift is typically fine since the gift is not itself a discount code, but two separate percentage off codes will not combine.
How does NARS' Subscribe to Save program work?
A recurring product like a foundation or concealer set to auto reorder cuts 10% off each shipment and includes free shipping on that order. It suits anyone who already knows which shade and formula works for them and does not need to swatch new colors each time.
Does NARS run a referral program?
Existing customers can refer a friend, and once that friend completes a qualifying purchase, the referring customer receives 20% off a future order. It is worth sending the referral before a friend's planned order rather than after, since the discount only applies going forward.
What is NARS' PRO program?
Makeup artists and other beauty professionals who qualify for the PRO program get access to exclusive events and codes that can bring savings up to 40% on select products. Applying typically requires proof of professional standing, such as a cosmetology license or portfolio.
Does every NARS order include free samples?
Yes, NARS includes two complimentary samples with online orders, usually rotating between skincare or treatment formulas. Selections change periodically, so the specific samples included depend on what is currently in rotation.
What is NARS' return policy?
Products bought on narscosmetics.com can be returned within 30 days if gently used, though NARS does not currently offer exchanges. Sets and kits must be returned complete, since partial contents or empty containers are not eligible for a refund.
Can a NARS purchase be returned at Sephora or Ulta?
No. Items bought directly on narscosmetics.com can only be returned to NARS, not to retail partners that also carry the brand, and the reverse is true as well.
Does NARS offer price adjustments after a sale?
NARS does not honor price adjustments, so a code that appears after checkout will not retroactively apply to a completed order. Shoppers who suspect a bigger promotion is coming may want to wait rather than buy immediately ahead of a known sale event.
When does NARS run its Friends and Family sale?
NARS typically holds a Friends and Family event in May, offering 20% off storewide for a limited window. It tends to be one of the only true sitewide discounts NARS runs outside of smaller targeted codes.
