Frequently Asked Questions
Does Smith Optics offer a discount for signing up for emails?
Yes, creating an account and opting into emails typically gets you 15 percent off your first order. This is generally the most straightforward discount to claim before browsing the rest of the site.
Is there a minimum order for free shipping at Smith Optics?
Smith Optics offers free standard shipping on orders over $50, which most sunglasses and single goggle purchases clear on their own. Orders typically arrive within 5 to 7 business days once shipped.
Can I use a Smith Optics promo code on prescription eyewear?
No, promo codes generally cannot be applied to custom products or RX prescription lenses, since these are treated as made to order items excluded from standard promotional terms. Check the specific exclusions listed with your code before assuming it will apply to a prescription order.
Does Smith Optics have a clearance section separate from their promo codes?
Yes, Smith Optics maintains a permanent clearance section with discounts ranging from 20 to 40 percent off previous season models and discontinued colorways. It is worth checking this section before applying a sitewide code, since clearance items are usually excluded from additional discounts.
Does Smith Optics offer a military discount?
Yes, Smith Optics offers a discount for military personnel, verified through their dedicated military discount page. Once your status is confirmed, you will receive a unique discount code to apply at checkout.
What is the deal on prescription eyewear when I buy a pair of sunglasses?
Smith Optics has run a promotion where purchasing full price standard or prescription sunglasses gets you 50 percent off an additional pair of prescription eyewear or blue light glasses when added to the same order. Check current terms since this type of promotion can rotate.
Does Smith Optics have a rewards or loyalty program?
No, Smith Optics does not currently offer a formal loyalty or rewards program, so repeat purchases do not accumulate points the way some competitor brands allow. Your best ongoing savings paths are the newsletter discount, clearance section, and seasonal sales.
Can I combine a Smith Optics promo code with a sitewide sale?
Generally no, Smith Optics codes typically cannot be combined with other offers or sitewide sales, so if a broader sale is already running, compare it against your specific code to see which gives the better price rather than assuming they will stack.
