Is the ceramic dome really reusable, or should I just replace it?
It is reusable for its full rated life. Discolouration to beige, light brown or reddish is trapped sediment and rust, not failure, and scrubbing the dome with a soft brush or scouring pad in cool water reopens the pores. Replace it early only if there is a hole or hairline crack, which shows up as water streaming straight through instead of dripping.
Does the system remove fluoride?
