Frequently Asked Questions
What is 4Patriots's actual return window?
Non-defective products can be returned for a refund within 90 days of purchase at the customer's own expense, and a return authorization along with proof of purchase is required. Defective or incorrect items are handled separately, with 4Patriots covering return shipping and offering an exchange during the full 365 day warranty period rather than a refund.
Does 4Patriots charge a restocking fee?
Most returns do not carry a restocking fee as long as the item comes back unused and in like new condition with its original packaging. Products that ship with lithium iron phosphate batteries, like some solar generators, require specific shipping boxes and do carry a flat return shipping, handling, and restocking fee deducted from the refund.
How long does 4Patriots survival food actually last?
The brand's freeze dried survival food kits carry a stated 25 year shelf life, and if food stored properly still spoils within that window, 4Patriots will replace it with something of equal or greater value rather than issuing a refund.
Does 4Patriots offer free shipping?
Orders of $97 or more ship free within the contiguous US. Orders below that threshold are charged a standard shipping fee, so it is often worth adding a smaller item to a cart that is close to that line.
Is there a discount for military members, first responders, or teachers?
Verified military personnel, first responders, and teachers can access a standing discount, typically confirmed through an ID verification tool at checkout rather than a promo code.
What is the VIP text club, and what does it actually offer?
Signing up for text alerts gives new subscribers a one time discount code, usually a set dollar amount off a minimum purchase, along with early access to flash sales and restock alerts on popular kits before they sell out.
Does subscribing to auto delivery save money on survival food?
Subscribing to recurring shipments knocks a percentage off the regular price on eligible products, similar to how other subscription based retailers structure their auto delivery discounts.
Can I get shipping protection on a large solar generator order?
4Patriots sells an optional Shipping Protection Service that covers a reship or refund if a covered order is lost, stolen, or arrives damaged, which is worth considering on a higher priced generator or bundle where a standard carrier claim would be more of a hassle.
