Frequently Asked Questions
What is Camp Chef's return policy?
Camp Chef accepts returns within 30 days from the date an item shipped, provided the item is new, unused, unassembled, and returned in its original packaging along with any manuals or accessories. A Return Authorization Number is required before sending anything back, so contacting Camp Chef directly is the first step.
How does Camp Chef calculate shipping costs?
Shipping is based on cart value in tiers, starting at $5 for carts under $35 and increasing in steps up to $30 for carts between $150 and $199.99, with orders of $200 or more shipping free. Oversized items like pellet grills, flat top grills, and larger stove systems are calculated separately and are not eligible for free shipping regardless of total cart value.
Does a Camp Chef promo code apply to oversized items like pellet grills?
Discount codes can be limited on oversized products since these ship through a different rate structure than standard parcel items, so it is worth checking a code's terms before assuming it applies to a full size grill or smoker. Codes aimed at accessories and cookware are more likely to apply broadly.
Does Camp Chef offer a military or first responder discount?
Yes, active duty and veteran military members along with first responders can access a 20% sitewide discount through Camp Chef's ID.me verification program. This discount is separate from standard promo codes and requires completing identity verification rather than entering a text code at checkout.
What does Camp Chef's warranty cover?
Camp Chef backs its products with a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects, with coverage windows ranging from 90 days to 5 years depending on the product category. Damage caused by misuse, alteration, or overheating is not covered, so following the assembly and usage instructions matters for keeping a claim valid.
Can I finance a Camp Chef purchase?
Camp Chef partners with Affirm to offer buy now, pay later financing, including 0% APR promotions on qualifying orders over a set purchase amount during certain periods. This can be a useful alternative to a discount code for a larger purchase like a full cooking system.
Does Camp Chef ship outside the contiguous United States?
Camp Chef does not currently offer international shipping and cannot drop ship to PO boxes, APO or FPO addresses, or other military addresses. Orders to Alaska or Hawaii require contacting Camp Chef directly for a shipping quote rather than using standard checkout rates.
