Yes. You can update your unit size, switch locations, or cancel any time online before you complete your eRental, with no obligation to follow through on a reservation.
How do I actually use a Public Storage promotion?
Promotions are tied to specific units and locations. Search your ZIP code, browse available units, and the applicable promotional rate shows up during the reservation flow for eligible units
Can I combine a promotion with another discount?
Only one promotional rate applies per household, and it reduces the rental fee only. Other charges, including the administrative fee, insurance, and taxes, still apply on top of it.
Do I need insurance to rent a unit?
Yes, having some form of insurance is a requirement of your lease. You can enroll in Public Storage's Orange Door Storage Insurance Program or provide proof of your own qualifying renters or homeowners coverage.
What's the administrative fee?
A one-time administrative fee applies to every new rental in addition to your rent, whether promotional or standard. The exact amount is set at the property and confirmed when you complete your rental.
Do I need to bring my own lock?
Yes. A lock is required on your unit whenever you're not there. If you don't bring one, locks are sold on-site at each property, though some doors need a specific cylinder lock type.
