Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel my plan if it's not working out?

Yes, Time Etc. plans can be canceled at any time, and if your assigned assistant isn't the right fit, the company will match you with a different one rather than leaving you stuck with a poor pairing.

Is unused time refunded if I cancel partway through?

Generally, you're eligible for a refund of any unused time if you cancel your subscription, though refunds are not given for time periods that have already been partially used, so timing a cancellation around your billing cycle matters.

Is there a free trial before committing to a paid plan?

Yes, Time Etc. offers a free trial and will match you to a virtual assistant who completes your first task at no cost, giving you a real sense of how delegation works before paying for hours.

Can I share my assistant with my team?

Yes, adding extra team members to work with your assistant is included at no additional cost, which is useful if more than one person in your business needs to delegate tasks to the same dedicated assistant.

Do unused hours roll over to the next month?

On the higher-tier plans, yes, unused hours can roll over rather than being forfeited at the end of the billing period, though this benefit is tied to specific plan levels rather than every plan, so it's worth checking which tier includes it.

Is there a discount for signing up through the app?

Yes, downloading the Time Etc. app can give you access to app-exclusive promotional offers, and some milestone-based rewards are tied to reaching certain usage levels through the app specifically.

How do I find current promo codes if I don't see one advertised?

Subscribing to the Time Etc. newsletter is one of the more reliable ways to stay informed about discount codes and flash sales, and reaching out through live chat or customer support sometimes surfaces a special code as well.

Saving Guide

Use the free trial task before committing to a plan:.

Since Time Etc. matches you with an assistant and completes a real task for free, testing the quality of delegation on an actual piece of work is a better indicator of fit than reading reviews alone.

Time a cancellation around your billing cycle:

Because refunds only apply to unused time and not partially used periods, canceling right before a new billing cycle starts, rather than midway through one you've already begun using, protects more of what you've paid.

Choose a plan tier that includes hour rollover if your needs are inconsistent:.

For a business with fluctuating monthly workloads, a plan where unused hours roll over avoids losing paid-for time during a lighter month, which can be worth more than a small percentage discount on a lower tier.

Add team members to your existing assistant instead of buying a second plan:.

Since sharing your assistant with colleagues comes at no extra cost, consolidating delegation needs under one plan is more economical than each team member subscribing separately.

Sign up for the newsletter and download the app for extra offers:.

Between email-exclusive flash sales and app-only promotional codes, checking both channels before subscribing gives you a better shot at finding an active discount than relying on the pricing page alone.

Checklist before you subscribe:

Use the free trial task to evaluate fit before paying. Confirm whether your plan tier includes hour rollover, add teammates to your existing plan rather than starting a new one, and check the newsletter and app for current promotional codes.
