Frequently Asked Questions
Does Arkel offer free shipping to US customers?
Yes, on orders over $250 shipped within the continental US. Below that threshold, a flat $20 shipping rate applies, so it's worth checking whether adding a smaller accessory to your cart pushes you past the free shipping line.
What is Arkel's return window?
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to send it back for a refund.
Will I owe extra fees on an Arkel order since the company is based in Canada?
Possibly. Because Arkel ships from Canada, orders into the US can be subject to import tariffs on top of the listed price. Arkel maintains a dedicated tariff information page for US shoppers, worth a look before you check out so a coupon's savings aren't offset by an unexpected charge at delivery.
What makes Arkel's mounting system different from other pannier brands?
Arkel's Cam-Lock attachment is exclusive to the brand and is built to handle rougher terrain without bags bouncing loose, which is part of why the bags carry a higher price point than typical commuter panniers.
When does Arkel actually ship out orders?
Orders ship Tuesday through Friday, so an order placed late Friday or over the weekend won't go out until the following week.
