Frequently Asked Questions
Does AUrate New York offer free shipping and returns?
Yes, AUrate ships orders within the US for free and offers a no questions asked return policy within a set window from delivery, with return shipping also covered. This makes it easier to order a piece you're unsure about sizing or styling on without worrying about losing money on shipping either direction.
What does AUrate's lifetime warranty actually cover?
Every AUrate piece comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, meaning issues with craftsmanship rather than damage from everyday wear are covered for as long as you own the piece. It's a meaningful point of difference from many jewelry brands that only warranty a piece for a year or two after purchase.
Can I combine a promo code with an already discounted item at AUrate?
Generally, sitewide promo codes at AUrate are built to apply to regular priced items rather than pieces already marked down through a seasonal sale, since stacking two discounts on top of each other would cut too far into sale pricing. Check the code's terms on the item you're eyeing before assuming it will apply.
Does AUrate New York offer a trade in program?
Yes, AUrate has run trade in events where customers can send in unwanted fine jewelry, either in person at a flagship store or by mail with an appraisal, in exchange for credit toward a new AUrate piece. It's worth checking whether a current trade in event is running before buying at full price if you have old jewelry sitting unused.
Why is gold vermeil priced lower than solid gold at AUrate?
Vermeil pieces use a solid sterling silver base plated with a thick layer of gold, while solid gold pieces are gold all the way through, which is why vermeil runs noticeably cheaper. Vermeil can show more wear over time than solid gold, so if you're buying a piece for daily wear, it's worth weighing the lifetime warranty coverage against the price difference.
How often does AUrate run sales?
AUrate has offered promotional pricing around major shopping periods like Black Friday, sometimes discounting popular styles like tennis necklaces by a meaningful percentage, though the brand doesn't run markdowns on every item constantly, so signing up for email alerts is a reasonable way to catch a window when a piece you want goes on sale.
Does AUrate New York ship internationally?
AUrate ships worldwide, though free shipping and the full return policy are generally tied to US orders, so international shoppers should check delivery costs and return terms for their specific country before ordering.
What's the best way to figure out my ring size before ordering?
Since fine jewelry, especially rings, is one of the trickier categories to size correctly online, using a printable ring sizer or measuring an existing ring you own before ordering can reduce your odds of needing a return or exchange down the line.
