Frequently Asked Questions
Does Chaco offer a discount for signing up for their newsletter?
Yes, signing up for the Chaco email newsletter typically gets you 15 to 20 percent off your first order, making it one of the most reliable discounts to claim before your first purchase. The exact percentage can vary depending on the current promotion.
Is there a minimum order for free shipping at Chaco?
Chaco offers free standard shipping in the continental US with no minimum purchase required, typically arriving within about six business days. Spending $74 or more upgrades you to free express shipping instead, which cuts delivery down to two or three business days.
Does Chaco offer a military discount?
Yes, military personnel and veterans can get 20 percent off orders of $49 or more by verifying their status through ID.me. This discount is separate from the newsletter signup offer and other sitewide promotions.
What is Chaco's return policy if a sandal doesn't fit right?
Chaco accepts returns within 30 days from the shipment date as long as the item has not been worn, and you will need to print a return shipping label to send it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and do not include the original shipping fees paid at checkout.
Can I exchange a pair of Chacos for a different size?
Yes, Chaco allows exchanges for the same product in a different size or color, though only one exchange is permitted per item and it needs to be initiated within 21 days. If you need a second size change, you would need to return the item instead and place a new order.
What does the Chaco lifetime warranty actually cover?
The ReChaco warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for the life of the product, and approved claims are repaired or replaced at no cost. It does not cover normal wear and tear or issues related to fit, so a sandal that simply does not fit well would fall under the standard return policy instead.
Are sale items eligible for Chaco's promo codes?
Typically no, most Chaco promo codes exclude items already marked down in the sale section, along with certain limited styles like 1774 and Last Chance releases. It is worth comparing the sale price directly against a full price item plus your discount code to see which actually costs less.
Does Chaco run a free giveaway I can enter without buying anything?
Yes, Chaco runs a monthly giveaway with no purchase necessary, which you can find linked through the FAQ section at the bottom of their homepage. It is a low effort way to potentially get a free pair without needing an active promo code at all.
