Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to return New Balance shoes if they don't fit right?
45 days from the shipping date for online orders, or from the purchase date for in-store purchases, for a refund to your original payment method. Items must be in new, resalable condition, meaning no outsole wear, scuffs, or missing original packaging.
Does New Balance really offer free returns, or is that only for some people?
Only for members. A free New Balance Membership account gets you a free return label; without one, a $5 restocking fee comes out of your refund automatically.
Can I exchange a pair for a different size instead of returning them?
Not directly. New Balance doesn't process direct exchanges online, you return the original pair for a refund and place a new order separately for the size or color you actually want.
Where do I enter a New Balance promo code?
At checkout, under the Payment section in the Promo Code box. The current $125+ threshold offer applies automatically per eligible item once your cart qualifies, no separate code needed for that one specifically.
Can I combine the community discount with a sitewide promo code?
No. New Balance's offers explicitly can't be used in combination with each other, so you'd choose whichever single discount, the 15% community rate or a separate sitewide code, saves you more on that order.
Can I return shoes I bought at Joe's New Balance Outlet to a regular New Balance store?
No. Joe's Outlet operates as a separate system with its own return policy and paid return shipping, items bought there need to go back to Joe's, not a standard New Balance or Factory Store location.
What if I bought New Balance shoes from a different retailer, like a department store?
Returns from third-party retailers need to go back to wherever you bought them, New Balance's own return system can't process a return for an item whose barcode isn't in their system.
