Frequently Asked Questions

Can I combine a Road Runner Sports coupon code with VIP Instant Savings?

Yes, VIP members' 10% Instant Savings applies automatically on top of most purchases, including outlet items, and can often be combined with a separate promotional code, though some exclusions apply for select styles from brands like Nike, HOKA, and ASICS.

Why isn't my Road Runner Sports promo code working?

Check whether the code is restricted to a specific brand or excluded from certain shoe lines, since VIP Instant Savings itself carries some brand exclusions, and confirm the code hasn't expired.

What is Road Runner Sports's return policy for non-members?

Non-VIP shoppers can return new and unused shoes and apparel within 60 days of purchase for a full refund, provided items include original tags and packaging; shipping fees are not refunded.

What is the VIP 90-Day Perfect Fit Promise?

VIP members can run in shoes, wear socks and insoles, or try Road Runner Sports and Korsa branded apparel for up to 90 days. If they don't work out, members can exchange them for a different make, style, or size, or receive a merchandise credit gift card for the returned item's value.

Can VIP members get a cash refund on worn shoes?

Generally no, a cash refund requires the item to be in new and unused condition with original tags and packaging. Worn shoes and apparel returned under the Perfect Fit Promise are exchanged for credit rather than refunded to the original payment method, with one exception: Custom Insoles get a full refund within 90 days even if worn.

How does VIP Family Rewards membership pricing work?

Membership starts at $1.99 for a six-month introductory period with 10% off everything and free shipping, renewing at $49.99 annually afterward. Higher Rewards Plus and Platinum tiers offer doubled Rewards Cash for more frequent shoe buyers.

Does Road Runner Sports offer free shipping?

Non-VIP orders over $100 ship free; VIP members get free shipping on every order with no minimum purchase required.

Can VIP benefits be shared with family members?

Yes, Family Benefit Sharing extends VIP perks, including 10% Instant Savings, free shipping, and the 90-Day Perfect Fit Promise, to a spouse or partner and children 21 and younger living in the same household.

Saving Guide

Because VIP membership unlocks a meaningfully more flexible return policy on top of ongoing discounts, deciding whether to join tends to shape the entire savings strategy here.

Weighing VIP membership against the cost of a single pair of shoes

Since standard shipping for non-members runs $10.99, a single order can nearly cover the discounted $1.99 introductory VIP membership fee on its own, making membership worth trying even for a one-time purchase given the added 90-day test-run flexibility.

Using the 90-Day Perfect Fit Promise to genuinely test new shoes

Because VIP members can run in shoes for up to 90 days before deciding, actually training in a new pair before committing avoids the common problem of a shoe feeling fine in the store but not holding up on longer runs.

Sharing VIP benefits across the household

Since Family Benefit Sharing extends the same discounts and return flexibility to a spouse or children living in the same home, registering eligible family members means one membership covers everyone's running gear rather than each person needing separate benefits.

Choosing store credit versus a refund strategically

Because worn items only qualify for exchange or store credit rather than a cash refund, deciding upfront whether to keep the money in the Road Runner Sports ecosystem or aim for a full refund on an unworn item shapes which return path makes more sense.

Stacking Instant Savings with a promotional code where possible

Since VIP Instant Savings applies automatically and can often combine with a separate code, checking for an active promo code even as a member can add further savings beyond the standard 10%.

Checklist before checkout

Decide whether VIP membership pays off given even a single order's shipping savings, register eligible family members to share the benefit, test new shoes within the 90-day window before deciding to keep them, and check for a stackable promo code on top of VIP Instant Savings.
