Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to return a Sunday Citizen order?
Items must be postmarked within 30 days of the delivery receipt to be eligible for a refund, and returns made after that window may be refused at Sunday Citizen's discretion. The brand describes this as a 30-Day Guarantee to test, wash, and use your purchase before deciding.
Is return shipping free at Sunday Citizen?
No, a fee of $8.99 applies whether you use a Happy Returns drop-off location or request a mailed return label. Original shipping and handling fees from your initial order are also non-refundable.
Does Sunday Citizen offer free shipping?
Yes, orders over $100 ship free within the US, while orders under that amount are charged a flat $15 shipping fee. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days of purchase.
Can I cancel or change a Sunday Citizen order after placing it?
No, orders cannot be changed or canceled once placed, since fulfillment begins immediately and Sunday Citizen does not store payment card information. If you want to add items, you'll need to place a separate new order instead.
What items can't be returned to Sunday Citizen?
Final sale items, outlet items, and gift cards are excluded from returns, and international orders are not eligible for returns at all. Check a product's listing carefully before buying if you're ordering from outside the US.
How does the Sunday Citizen Insider rewards program work?
Joining is free, and you earn points for every dollar spent, with 100 points equal to $10 off a future purchase. You can redeem up to 400 points per order with no minimum spend, though redeeming 500 to 1,000 points requires an order of at least $200.
Can I combine an Insider discount with a promo code?
Sunday Citizen doesn't clearly advertise stacking these two together, and many promo codes are excluded from sale, clearance, or bundle pricing already in your cart. Check the terms of your specific code, since built-in sitewide sales are often how Sunday Citizen runs its bigger discounts rather than relying on codes alone.
Does Sunday Citizen offer a referral program?
Yes, referring a friend gives them $20 off their first order over $40, and you receive $20 in points for each successful referral. This is one of the more straightforward ways to earn points outside of a direct purchase.
What happens if I return part of an order that included a free gift?
If your remaining order total falls below the threshold that qualified you for a free gift with purchase, that gift must also be returned unused. If you return the entire order, the gift needs to go back as well, even if it wasn't part of what you're refunding.
How does Sunday Citizen's Klarna option work with returns?
Klarna splits your purchase into four payments charged every two weeks with no interest, and using it doesn't prevent you from applying discount codes or shopping sales. If you return an item purchased through Klarna, the standard 30-day return window and $8.99 fee still apply.
