Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use more than one BaxterBoo coupon on the same order?

Checkout accepts one coupon code per transaction, so pick the code that takes the most off your particular cart. A code typically still works on sale items, but brand specific offers, such as the Portland Pet Treats code, can't be combined with other discounts.

Why is my BaxterBoo promo code not working?

Most rejections come down to scope or timing. Recent codes have been limited to a single category like cat bowls or pharmacy items, reserved for MVP Gold and Elite members, or set to expire within days. Others require a spending minimum, such as $5 off when an order tops $49.

Is there a discount on a first BaxterBoo order?

The site advertises a $10 reward when a new customer places a first order over $39, and 15% off a first Autoship order. Both require the qualifying purchase first, and the Autoship offer only makes sense if you're willing to set up a recurring delivery.

How does BaxterBoo's MVP program work, and which tier pays off?

MVP Gold costs $19.99 a year, returns 5% on eligible purchases, and adds free shipping over $49 and a 60 day return window. MVP Elite costs $49.99, ships every order free with no minimum, and extends returns to 90 days. Because contiguous US orders over $49 already ship free for everyone, Gold's real draw is the 5% back and free return shipping. Elite pays for itself mainly when you order small quantities often.

What can't I spend MVP rewards on?

Rewards can't be redeemed on pharmacy items, prescription or vet diet products, dropship items, clearance items, Frequent Buyer products, shipping, or tax. They also expire, after 120 days for Gold and 365 days for Elite, and a returned item takes back the rewards it earned.

Does BaxterBoo have a program for buying the same food again and again?

Yes. The site runs a Frequent Buyer Program that earns a free bag on qualifying products, with the eligible brands and purchase counts listed on its program page. MVP rewards can be earned on those products but can't be redeemed on them, which matters if you plan to pay with a rewards balance.

What is BaxterBoo's return window?

Items must come back in original, sellable condition and free of pet hair. Returns within 30 days can be refunded to store credit or the original card, and later returns are store credit only, with MVP members getting the longer windows above. Using the prepaid label deducts $6.95, and original shipping charges aren't refunded.

What does BaxterBoo charge for shipping?

Contiguous US orders over $49 ship free, with select items excluded, and checkout may offer FedEx or USPS depending on your area and package weight. The store also doesn't ship products within 30 days of their expiration date, so food arrives with time left on it.

How often does BaxterBoo release new deals and coupons?

New codes turn up regularly, and many are tied to one category with an end date a few days out. Around the codes, the site keeps a Monthly Fetch ad, open box deals, nutrition and wellness bargains, and seasonal shops, and MVP Gold and Elite members have received early access codes. The lineup on this page shifts along with all of it.

Saving Guide

What makes BaxterBoo worth a plan:

BaxterBoo layers a code system, a paid membership, recurring order discounts and open box pricing, and those pieces don't all work together. Knowing which one fits your cart is where most of the money is saved.

Pick the code by the shape of your cart:

Only one code applies per order, so a category code beats a sitewide one when most of your cart matches that category, and the reverse otherwise. Read the terms beside each code for its minimum spend and whether it combines with other offers. Brand specific codes commonly don't. Check the sale and clearance tabs too, since a coupon usually still applies to marked down items. Coupon trackers list markdowns of up to 70% in the sale section.

Look through the Deals menu before the code box:

The Deals menu holds the coupons page, the Monthly Fetch ad, open box deals and nutrition and wellness bargains. Open box pricing can beat a percentage code outright, though MVP rewards can't be redeemed on clearance items, so weigh that if you have a balance to spend.

Use member early access and seasonal shops:

Halloween and Christmas shops open as their seasons approach. Members can get in first: one recent code gave an extra 20% off select items to MVP Gold and Elite members only and ended within days. If a sale is coming, joining a day early can be worth more than waiting for the public code.

Which MVP tier earns back its fee:

The math is simple. Gold's $19.99 fee is recovered after about $400 of eligible spending at 5% back, and Elite's $49.99 fee needs about $1,000 on rewards alone. Elite also removes shipping charges on orders under $49, so it suits someone who orders small and often. Remember that rewards expire and can't be spent on pharmacy or clearance items.

Autoship and Frequent Buyer for repeat food:

The site offers 15% off a first Autoship order, lets you earn rewards on Autoship purchases and apply them to Autoship orders, and runs a Frequent Buyer program for a free bag. Compare these before paying for MVP if most of your spending is one brand of food.

Where shipping and returns change the real total:

Watch the $49 line after a code applies, because a discount that drops your merchandise total below it can add shipping. On returns, the prepaid label fee and the store credit rule after 30 days both reduce what comes back to you, so test new gear early.

Before checkout:

  • Confirm the code's category, minimum spend and expiry date
  • Check your total against the $49 free shipping line after the code applies
  • Look at open box and the monthly ad before paying full price
  • Compare Autoship and Frequent Buyer with MVP if you buy food regularly
  • Remember rewards can't be spent on pharmacy, clearance or Frequent Buyer items
