Frequently Asked Questions
Does Embark Vet offer free shipping?
Yes, all orders ship free within the continental United States, and every kit includes a prepaid return mailer for sending the cheek swab sample back to the lab at no extra cost.
What is Embark Vet's return policy on test kits?
Unopened kits in good, unused condition can be returned within 60 days of purchase for a full refund. Opened products can still be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date, but only qualify for a 50% refund, and returns for store credit aren't available.
Can I return an individual test from a bundle or litter pack?
No, individual tests within a Bundle or Litter Pack can't be returned or exchanged separately unless one of the tests has failed and there's no interest in continuing with testing.
What happens if my dog's DNA sample fails to process?
If the initial processing fails and enough sample remains, Embark will reprocess the same sample at no charge. If a second attempt also fails, they'll reach out to offer a free replacement kit.
What is the return policy on Embark supplements?
Supplements carry a 30 day money back guarantee, a shorter window than the test kits.
Does Embark Vet offer a discount for buying multiple kits?
Yes, adding more than one Breed + Health kit to a single order can unlock a multi-kit discount of up to 20%, while shipping stays free.
Does Embark Vet offer a first order discount?
Yes, subscribing to the Embark email list typically unlocks an introductory discount code on a first order.
Does Embark Vet have a referral program?
Yes, referring a friend to buy a Breed + Health DNA test earns them a discount, and the referring customer receives a coupon once the referral's order goes through.
Are subscription services like supplements refundable if I cancel?
Subscriptions can be canceled anytime by turning off recurring billing, but partial refunds for unused time aren't offered.
When does Embark Vet run its biggest sales?
Embark Vet runs notable seasonal sales, including around Valentine's Day, where a promo code can bring meaningful savings on breed, health, and age tests.
