Frequently Asked Questions
What is HOBO's return policy?
New and unworn merchandise with tags still attached can be returned within 30 days of purchase, minus a $7 handling fee deducted from the refund. Items bought in the Annapolis store can only be returned there, not through the online return process.
Why was I charged $7 on my HOBO refund?
HOBO deducts a flat handling fee from every processed return, and the original shipping charge is not refunded either way. It is worth factoring that into the math before buying something as a maybe rather than a definite keep.
Does HOBO offer free shipping?
Orders that reach the free shipping threshold ship at no charge, and members of the Original tier in the Common Thread Club get free shipping on every order regardless of size. Everyone else needs to hit the order minimum to avoid a shipping charge.
How does the Common Thread Club rewards program work?
Members earn 1 point for every dollar spent, plus a 200 point bonus on their birthday and extra points for engaging on social media. Points can later be redeemed for a discount on a future order.
What happens if a HOBO bag develops a manufacturing defect?
Items bought directly from hobobags.com are covered for one year against manufacturing defects. HOBO will ship a replacement if one is available, or send an e-gift card for the purchase price if it is not. This warranty does not refund the original payment method directly.
Can I get a price adjustment if a bag I bought goes on sale later?
Yes, within 7 days of the original purchase date. After that window closes, HOBO will not refund the difference even if the item drops in price the following week.
Are final sale items returnable at HOBO?
No. Anything marked final sale at checkout cannot be returned or exchanged, and if one is mailed back anyway, HOBO will not issue a refund and may donate or dispose of the item instead.
When does HOBO run its biggest sales?
Black Friday and Cyber Monday tend to bring the deepest sitewide discounts, and the brand also runs a Summer Warehouse Sale and an ongoing Last Chance clearance section where markdowns can reach 60 to 75% off select styles.
