Frequently Asked Questions

Does Hotel Collection have its own separate return policy from Macy's?

No. Since Hotel Collection is sold exclusively through Macy's, returns follow Macy's standard return policy, which allows returns within 90 days of purchase for most merchandise.

Is there a minimum order to get free shipping?

Yes, Macy's offers free standard shipping on orders of $49 or more, with delivery typically arriving in three to six business days. Star Rewards members get free shipping at a lower $39 threshold, and joining that program is free.

What if my order doesn't meet the free shipping minimum?

Faster shipping is available for a fee. Premium shipping costs $20.95 for orders under $49, dropping to $10 once an order clears $49, and Express shipping runs $25.95, dropping to $15 for orders over $49.

Can I combine a Hotel Collection promo code with other Macy's discounts?

Macy's typically limits promo codes to one per order, though a code can sometimes be combined with Star Rewards discounts or an active in store promotion depending on the terms attached to that specific code.

Are Hotel Collection final sale or clearance items returnable?

No. Final sale items marked as such during a sale can't be returned or exchanged, so it's worth checking an item's sale terms before buying if there's any chance it won't work out.

How can I get a second discount code if I've already used my welcome offer?

Signing up for Macy's text alerts is one way to receive an additional discount code beyond the standard email signup offer, useful if the first welcome code has already been redeemed.

Does Macy's run recurring sales on Hotel Collection specifically?

Hotel Collection bedding regularly appears in Macy's broader home sales events, often at 30% off or more across comforter sets, sheets, duvet covers, and pillows, alongside sitewide promo codes that stack on top of those markdowns.

Saving Guide

Because Hotel Collection lives entirely inside the Macy's ecosystem, saving on it really means understanding how Macy's own shipping tiers, promo code rules, and sale calendar work.

Clearing the free shipping threshold with intention.

Star Rewards members only need to hit $39 for free shipping, while non-members need $49. Since Star Rewards costs nothing to join, signing up before checkout is one of the simplest ways to lower that bar on a bedding order.

Watching for sitewide promo codes during home sales events.

Hotel Collection bedding tends to show up prominently whenever Macy's runs a broader home sale, and stacking a sitewide code like a percentage off promo on top of an already discounted comforter set or sheet set often produces the deepest total savings.

Reading the fine print on final sale items.

Deep clearance markdowns on Hotel Collection pieces are appealing, but items marked final sale during those events can't be returned, so it's worth being confident about size and color before buying anything at that steep a discount.

Signing up for both email and text alerts.

Macy's typically offers a welcome discount through email signup and a separate one through text alerts, which means a first time Hotel Collection shopper can potentially stack two different new subscriber codes across two channels.

Choosing store pickup where available.

Picking up an order in store instead of shipping it sidesteps the free shipping minimum entirely, which is useful for smaller Hotel Collection purchases like a set of pillowcases that wouldn't otherwise clear the threshold.

Before you check out

confirm whether you're a Star Rewards member and what shipping threshold applies to you, check whether the items in your cart are final sale before assuming they're returnable, and see if a text alert signup unlocks a second discount code beyond your email welcome offer.

About Hotel Collection

Hotel Collection is Macy's own private label line of upscale bedding and bath essentials, built to mimic the feel of high end hotel linens with sateen and percale sheets, down alternative comforters, and plush towels. Because it's a Macy's exclusive brand, shopping it means shopping under Macy's own shipping, return, and rewards policies rather than a separate storefront. Shoppers can find current Hotel Collection coupon codes and discounts on this page, which is useful given how often Macy's runs markdowns on its home label.
