Frequently Asked Questions
Does Oars + Alps offer a discount for first time customers?
New shoppers commonly get a percentage off their first order for signing up for the brand's email list, and that code typically stacks with free shipping once the order clears a minimum threshold. It's usually a one time code tied to a single email address.
How does the Build Your Own Kit discount work?
Oars + Alps' kit builder rewards larger orders with tiered savings, giving a smaller discount once you reach a lower dollar threshold and a bigger one at a higher tier. The discount applies automatically once your kit hits the required total, so there's no separate code to enter.
Is there a discount for subscribing to a product?
Yes, subscribing to a grooming product or kit for recurring delivery knocks a set percentage off that item every time it ships, with delivery frequency options like every one, two, or three months. Because the subscription price is already reduced, most storewide promo codes won't stack on top of it.
How does the O + A Rewards loyalty program work?
Members earn points on purchases and certain account activities, then redeem those points for dollar discounts at set thresholds. It's free to join, and points are tracked in your account.
What do I get for referring a friend?
Oars + Alps' referral program gives your friend a discount on their first order once they spend a minimum amount, and you receive a grooming kit credit once their order goes through. The reward only triggers after the referred purchase is completed, not when you send the link.
Can I return Oars + Alps products if they don't work for my skin?
Returns are accepted on unused items in their original packaging, though the brand marks some products as non returnable, so it's worth checking the product page before assuming every item qualifies. Returns go through the brand's online returns portal.
Does Oars + Alps ever throw in a free sample?
Orders that reach a set dollar amount typically add a free sample gift at checkout, with the specific item, like a lip balm or a cooling wipe, rotating depending on the current promotion. This is separate from any percentage off code and usually adds itself to the cart automatically.
Why didn't my coupon code apply to my subscription order?
Subscription orders are priced with their discount baked in from the start, which is why most sitewide percentage off codes are blocked from stacking on subscription checkouts. If you want to use a storewide code, it typically needs to go toward a one time purchase instead.
Are Oars + Alps kits cheaper than buying the products separately?
Gift and travel kits are generally priced below what the included items would cost individually, and they're a good way to try several products before deciding what to subscribe to long term. Watch for seasonal kit markdowns around gifting holidays, when several bundles get marked down further.
