Frequently Asked Questions

What is Coddle's return policy?

Any product can be returned within 30 days of the delivery date as long as it is in usable condition, without stains, tears, or strong odors, and the return has to be initiated by emailing customer service before that window closes. Returns from outside the continental US are not eligible.

Does Coddle charge for return shipping?

Return shipping is free for US customers who still have the original packing materials. If those materials are missing, a 20% restocking fee is deducted from the refund instead.

Can I return more than one of the same couch if I ordered a few?

Up to two units of the same product type from one order can be returned per shipping address, but returning one during that 30 day window means a future purchase of that same product type will not come with another 30 day trial.

Does Coddle offer free delivery?

Most sofas and sleeper sectionals include free White Glove Delivery, which covers setup and packaging removal, once an order crosses $999. Smaller items that ship via a standard carrier instead of White Glove usually carry a smaller shipping fee.

What does Coddle's warranty actually cover?

The one year limited manufacturer's warranty covers manufacturing defects and normal faults in materials or parts, including toppers and pillows, but does not cover misuse, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. The warranty is voided entirely if the product has been resold or given away.

Is there a discount for military members, teachers, or students?

Coddle offers a standing discount to verified military members, first responders, teachers, and students, generally confirmed through an ID verification step rather than a promo code.

Can I try fabric swatches before committing to a couch?

Free fabric swatches can be requested before buying, which is worth doing given how much a color or texture can look different in person than on a product photo, especially on a purchase this size.

Does Coddle offer financing?

Bread Pay financing is available and can split a purchase into monthly payments, sometimes at 0% APR depending on approval, and Shop Pay Installments is offered as a second option at checkout.

Saving Guide

Since a Coddle order is usually a single big ticket piece of furniture rather than a cart full of smaller items, the real savings come from timing the purchase around delivery cost and understanding the return rules before committing to a specific fabric or size.

Clearing the $999 free delivery line:

White Glove Delivery, which includes setup and hauling away the packaging, is free once an order passes $999, so a couch that lands just under that line is often cheaper to round up slightly than to pay for delivery separately.

Requesting swatches before buying:

Ordering free fabric swatches ahead of a purchase helps avoid a return altogether, which matters more here than at a typical retailer given that a missing box or a used cushion can mean a 20% restocking fee instead of a full refund.

Deciding early whether a piece is a keeper:

Because the return window is a firm 30 days from delivery and requires action before it closes, testing a new sofa's fit in the room, the fold out function, and general comfort within the first couple of weeks avoids running out of time to decide.

Watching for sitewide sales and newsletter codes:

Coddle runs recurring sales on its best selling sleeper sofas and sectionals, and signing up for the newsletter ahead of a purchase generally provides a one time percentage off code that stacks with an item already on sale.

Using financing instead of paying in full for a large piece:

Bread Pay or Shop Pay Installments can spread the cost of a higher priced sectional across several months, which is worth comparing against paying in full if a 0% APR offer is available at checkout.

What to check before checkout:

Confirm the order total against the $999 free delivery line, keep all original packaging until the 30 day trial period has fully passed, and check whether a newsletter or military and teacher discount code has already been applied before entering another one.

About Coddle

Coddle builds convertible sofas, sleeper couches, and mattress toppers meant to do more than one job, with tech features like built in charging ports worked into the frame itself. Every piece gets a 30 day trial after delivery to make sure it actually fits the room and the routine, backed by a full year against manufacturing defects. Current Coddle coupon codes and sale sections are listed on this page, which matters given how much the free White Glove Delivery threshold and the return shipping rules change the real cost of a piece this size.
